Privacy policy

Luna’s Stories is run by Prakhar Gupta. This is a plain-language draft and should be reviewed by a lawyer before launch. The app is for parents: we collect information about children only from their parent, never from the child, and we show no ads and no third-party trackers.

What we collect

• Your email address, to sign you in with a link.
• Your family: its name, each parent’s display name, and each child’s first name and age, which you type in.
• Which stories you favorite and which you told to which child, and when.
• If you choose “In my voice”: recordings of your voice and a voice model made from them. This is optional and needs your explicit consent.
• On your device only: your child’s name, age, buddy and preferences, and stories you made, so the app feels personal. These never leave the device unless you ask for an AI story.
• Basic technical logs kept by our hosting provider, such as time and error messages.

Who helps us run it

• Supabase stores accounts, family data and voice recordings.
• Vercel hosts the app.
• Anthropic writes AI stories. We send it the child’s first name, an age range, a length and any idea you type. It is not used to identify your child.
• ElevenLabs, only if you use “In my voice”, turns your recordings into a voice model and speaks stories in it.

Why, and for how long

We use your data only to run the app for your family. We keep it until you delete it. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or use your voice for anything else.

Your choices

• Change or remove a child, voice or favorite any time in the app.
• Delete your account and all linked data: Our family, then Delete my account, or the delete account page. Your voice is also removed from our voice provider.
• Ask us to see, correct or delete your data: support@lalstory.com.

Children

Only a parent or guardian may create an account and add a child. By adding a child’s first name and age you confirm you are their parent or guardian and agree to this policy on their behalf. Voice recordings are treated as sensitive: only the parent who recorded them, and members of the same family, can use them.
